I am a lifelong resident of Washington, and a graduate of St. Francis Borgia Regional High School and East Central College. I met my wife, Amanda, while earning my bachelor’s degree in political science at Southeast Missouri State University.
While some might say I grew up in politics, it wasn’t until college that it became my passion. That’s when I was able to really see and appreciate the ways my father was able to help people through his job as a public servant. I became more involved in politics, joining the College Republicans at SEMO and volunteering for the campaigns of Jim Talent, Matt Blunt, and George W. Bush. I also served as president of the College Republicans.
After college, I worked for Missouri Eagle for nearly four years before becoming the Assistant Director of Government Relations at SITE Improvement Association. During my seven years at SITE, I developed relationships with state and local officials, as well as leaders in the construction industry. In 2017, I had the opportunity to change careers and work right in Washington as the Director of Client Relations at Steamboat Financial Group.
In 2018, I was elected State Representative of the 61st district. It has been a true honor serving the public, but my greatest honor is being a father to my three amazing children; Dayton, Tucker and Shiloh.
